Where can I find resources to learn signs in Quebec?

A major challenge concerning the introduction of signs as a means of communication parallel to speech is for parents or caregivers to appropriate this communication code themselves. Why does a typically developing child learn to speak French, English, or Mandarin? Because they have been exposed to these modes of communication.
There are different sign repertoires in Quebec. And no, unfortunately, these are not universal codes. Find out about the repertoire used in your region and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Le Français Signé (Quebec):
You can purchase the books from the 'Le Français Signé' repertoire. There are four books (Le Français Signé 1, 2, 3, 4) and an index. Location: École spécialisée Joseph-Paquin at (418) 622-7884 extension 4352.
The IRDPQ offers various training options for the ‘Français Signé’ repertoire:
Classroom/course training
Official training by levels 1, 2, 3, 4
Customized training possible (for parents, daycare centers, etc.)
DVDs – Approximately $12 per DVD
